Tara Schickedanz

Tara SchickedanzTara is a sophomore Business Major at Texas A&M in College Station, Texas. Tara performs in the Texas A&M mixed choir, and at weddings and private parties. She also entertains at local restaurants including Fish Daddy’s and Lake Bryan Icehouse. She began playing guitar with Jimmy when she was a sophomore in high school and he proved to her that guitar was easier to learn than what she feared. She was playing in public in less than 8 months of her first guitar lesson. Tara's earlier performances were singing in church at The Metro Center at Fielder Church at her hometown of Arlington, Texas. She has performed regularly at Potbelly's, J Gilligans and The Grease Monkey in Arlington and will often be seen around town playing gigs when she's home for the summer or holidays. Matthew Halom

Matthew HalomMatthew Halom is a sophomore at Martin High School in Arlington. He has been playing guitar for two years and has loved every second of it. He was the inaugural "Guitar Player of the Month" in January of 2014. He has played at venues such as the Grease Monkey and Light Up Arlington. Matthew is also on the basketball team at school and is heavily involved in choir. He is in show choir and is also the sophomore representative in choir council. Matthew loves to make music and is extremely thankful to have such an incredible guitar teacher in Jimmy Pitstick.

Jackie Minton

Jackie MintonJackie Minton is an incredible singer and guitarist who performs regularly in the Arlington DFW area. She is a senior in high school and has performed many venues including J Gilligans, The Grease Monkey, Fort Worth Food Trucks, Light Up Arlington, and as far away as South Padre Island. She often plays weddings and private parties and recently opened with the National Anthem for The Arlington Levitt Pavilion on July 3rd. She picked up guitar in the 5th grade and hasn't put it down since! Jackie has taken guitar lessons from Jimmy since elementary school and continues to develop her skills in songwriting and performing! Karon Chapa

Karon ChapaKaron Chapa has been involved in music and performance her whole life. She has performed with such organizations as Teen Talent Follies, Miss Persis Dance Studio, and Arlington Martin High School Choir. She was a four year Show Choir member and a four year Texas All State Choir member. She currently attends The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, TX. Karon has been playing guitar for almost two years and loves it! You may have seen her playing at Grease Monkey, Atomic Subs, J Gilligans or most recently playing at the Young Stars of Arlington Stage during Light Up Arlington on July Fourth. Karen says, "I would like to thank my AMAZING guitar teacher, Jimmy Pitstick, who has taught me everything he knows about guitar which has opened up an entirely new world of music." "He has taught me how to be confident in performing and is an amazing mentor." About Jimmy

Jimmy Pitstick has over 35 years experience in playing live music. He still finds time to play in his band Scott & James who received national recognition for songwriting and performing at the GMA's Seminar in the Rockies Festival in 2000. They were voted Best Band at Billy Bob's for the Wolfe radio station, finalist in the B.W. Stevenson's Songwriting Competition in Dallas, and were regular performers at Johnny High's and Grapevine Opry. They cut two independent CD's that received regular radio play from independent radio station KVTT in the early 2000's. Jimmy has a Bachelor of Business Degree in Management from the University of Texas at Arlington. He is a full-time private guitar instructor and former Board Member on the Arlington Levitt Pavilion for the Performing Arts.
